Progressive, Functional Dumbbell Training
These training methods are very progressive and can be easily learned after you have completed at least 3 months of fundamental training (sometimes sooner!). The fundamental training techniques that I teach are similar to those outlined in the best selling book, Body-for-LIFE by Bill Phillips. My functional dumbbell training program has been inspired by Juan Carlos Santana, M.Ed., of Optimum Performance Institute, Boca Raton, Florida. Functional training totally breaks the bonds of traditionalism with a revolutionary concept integrating multi-muscle moves for maximal exercise efficiency.
JC Santana's techniques improve functional performance and are based on cutting edge methodology supported by scientific proof. Although the term "performance enhancement" has traditionally been associated with athletics, this concept includes all aspects of human performance. Performance enhancement includes all of the qualities associated with the complete human experience; from a recovering stroke patient and an elite athlete, the goal remains the same: to improve current levels of performance and achieve their full performance potential.
